そして息子と作ったfionda！
This past weekend we visited the Antique Fair at Arezzo.
It was the first time that we didn't find those very good things,
like the commode 'Betta' that I bought two years ago.
It almost seemed as if the sellers were keeping those things
for themselves, awaiting for the market to get back into shape.
We did buy some interesting pieces though,
like a Imperial period bed and a Luigi Filippo style commode
that has never been restored before.
I bought an interesting reclining armchair of the mid-nineteenth
century produced in Northern Italy.
Before visiting the Fair we spent a day at an agriturismo complex
nestled upon a hill towards San Sepolcro.
Ca' Lucano is a piece of paradise, with its dainty stone houses,
its wonderful pool overlooking the hills,
refreshing walks in the woods 'inhabited' by such old and wise-looking
chestnut trees and tasty breakfasts with home-made cakes!
The traditional trattoria called Beppone also surprised us with
its wonderfully hearty dishes!
When we walked out of the trattoria we noticed that
the streets were strewn with genista petals that greeted
the Madonna passing by in a late-evening procession....
今回のアレッツォのアンティック市はどうもしっくり来ないものがあった。
いい品物が出ていなかったのである。
景気が悪いので、多分出し惜しみではないかと思う。
逆にあまり専門的な知識がないのではないかと思われる売り手のところで
ちょっといい物を、新しくできた仲間と共同で購入した。
ナポレオン時代のベッド（売るのは難しいが破格の値段で購入）、
ルイージ・フィリッポ時代の、多分トスカーナ産の、
一度も修復されたことのない箪笥（クルミ、クリ、ポプラ）。
そして１９世紀後半のなかなか味のあるポプラの食器棚。
（こちらはペンキが５－６回ぐらい重ね塗りされているが
水性のペンキではないので、本日実験してみたらきれいにはがれた。）
私は北イタリア産の１９世紀中頃の肘掛け椅子を購入。
背もたれ部分を後ろに倒し、前の部分を引き出して
脚ものばせる気持ち良さそうな椅子である。
仕掛けが面白いので購入することにした。
アンティックの辞典にほぼ同じものが掲載されていた。
市に行く前の土曜日はアレッツォから
ピエロ・デッラ・フランチェスカの故郷であるサン・セポルクロに行く途中の
丘陵地帯にあるアグリツーリズモに宿泊。
Ca' Lucanoはもともとは中世の集落だった。
廃墟と化していたこの集落をミラノから移住してきたネッロさん一家が修復。
丘のはり出した所に作られたプールが素晴らしい。
プールサイドから臨むアレッツォの山々、
とっても古いクリの大木のある森の中の散歩道、
手作りのケーキの美味しい朝ご飯・・・
息子といっしょに落ちていたクリの枝で
石投げ器（というのだろうか？）を作成。
学芸会の劇の小道具の、「原始人の槍」もクリの枝で作った。
サン・セポルクロに向かう国道に面したBepponeという、
前菜からデザートまで信じられないほどおいしかった
家庭料理のトラットリーアで夕食をとったのちの帰り道は
エニシダとばらの花びらのしゅうたん・・・
村のマリア様の御神輿がちょうど通った後だったのだ。
